Myths related to RAS exam 1. Reading many books Limit your resources. That's the only key to success. Don't go for every book available in the market. Limit your resources for current affairs as well. Standard books+NCERTs+RBSE books are sufficient. For quick revision & value addition one can refer any coaching notes. 2. Coaching is compulsory Not at all. To be very honest, I have taken coaching because I was confused & needed guidance. It's not mandatory. You can crack it by self study too. 3. Study for 14-16 hours a day You don't have to study for long hours. I believe studying 5-6 hours is sufficient. When the prelims/mains is just 1-2 months away, one can study for 10-12 hours with adequate amount of sleep. 4. Using complicated language in mains answer writing A big no!
